In February, 2013 Yale University invited Mark to teach a seminar under there visiting artist program. Commissioned by the Yale School Of Art Graduate Sculpture Department, the course was titled UNDERSTANDING WOOD TECHNOLOGY. This three day seminar consisted of both lectures and hands on learning. The course was designed to introduce the students to the fundamental principals of wood working such as: wood as a materiel - wood as a living organism. - the milling process - commonly used wood species - working with traditional hand tools and advanced wood working techniques -steam and laminate wood bending.
